100 Strangers

I’m excited. I’m taking up a photography project. As simple as it can be put, you ask 100 strangers if you can take their portrait. This will challenge my social skills as much as my on-the-fly photographic technique. It’ll be a rush.

And so, I’ve started this blog. I needed a proper platform to document my progress in the project. However, as with any blog, I’ll probably put up other entertaining junk as well.

I haven’t had a chance to shoot yet, but I’ve attached a photo for some eye candy in the meantime.

…or you can check out my

  1. Alphi, this project and blog has left me very intrigued! I mean this is art dude! The vivid colors, and the fact that you're not only photographing the "pretty people" is great! I love that you're taking advantage of your surroundings and going out and exploring the foreign land and people. From someone who's lived only in the states all her life, it's cool to see all the different types of people, and read their background. Living here, in Waukegan, you are used to the commercial fashions, and when I viewed your photos they reminded me of like teen Vogue Magazine. So keep up the great work! I'll soon be reading and seeing your work in a magazine too. Question!!! B/c you love bright and vivid colors (b/c of course it does catch your eye thus: The wow factor ;") ) Would you oppose to photographing a let's say....goth girl wearing all black sitting on a bench in a park with a background full of color?

  2. thanks! Like I said, I could finish this project in one weekend if I wanted, but that would only give me quantity. I hope to bring only quality into this project...to answer your question, Yes I would :D I'm on the lookout for backgrounds and lighting also. So they don't necessarily have to be a cool looking character....there's these awesome stairs that lead to a huge historic church by my place and it gets the most gorgeous lighting come sunset. there are plenty of people there to shoot but I'm saving it until I see the perfect person.

    who is this btw? XD
